Playing England at Diplomacy doesn’t have to be boring. There are several opening systems to choose from.
The two main ideas are going north (where Russia will be your main enemy, or south against France).
With England you want to avoid two nations ganing up against you (the worst combo for you being France and Germany).
Often a semi- successful English campaign will involve quick acceleration to around 10 units, and then slower progress as most of those will be fleets and you’ll be searching for a few moer builds to get armies on the go.
