President Nicolas Maduro announced Saturday it would start negotiations to establish an Interests Office in both Venezuela and the U.S., softening demands made for American diplomats to leave the country.

His move comes just days after U.S. President Donald Trump recognized opposition leader Juan Guaido as the legitimate president of the country.
