South Sudanese president appeals for diplomacy to solve crisis

South Sudan’s president Salva Kiir is urging Sudanese people to use peaceful means to resolve recent conflict. The protests grew out of concerns about economic hardship in Sudan, and President Kiir has sent a delegation to Khartoum to explore ways for South Sudan to assist.
