5 Ways, Today’s Abnormal Politics, Produces Unwanted Ramifications

Regardless of one’s personal/ political agenda, positions, preferences, etc, it should be quite obvious, these times aren’t normal! For the first two centuries, of this nation’s existence and history, we elected individuals, to serve, in the highest positions, in the land, whose political positions, were, largely, close to the middle, of the spectrum! In fact, many historians proclaimed, most of these people, fell within, approximately, five percent, of the middle. In 1980, when Ronald Reagan, was elected President, he held several positions, which fell outside that range, but, on many others, his policies were standard. However, when Donald Trump was elected President, in November, 2016, this nation began its path, along unchartered waters, and many historians, believe, we have never witnessed, in this country, the policies, behavior, actions, and/ or, rhetoric, which he has used! With that in mind, this article will attempt to, briefly, consider, examine, review, and discuss, 5 ways, today’s abnormal politics, will probably bring forth, unwanted/ undesirable ramifications.

1. Tariffs/ trade wars: Mr. Trump has weaponized tariffs, and trade wars! Although, he insists, others will pay for these, the reality is, the American consumer, ends up paying! It is, similar, to a regressive tax, and, largely, harms poorer and middle class citizens, far more than, wealthier individuals. Since, so many items are manufactured in China, the existing tariffs, as well as those, already proposed, to take effect, September 1, will, soon, cause higher prices. It will hit, especially hard, electronics (including cell phones, computers, televisions, etc), automobiles (the vehicles and many parts), and many articles of clothing. Millions of Americans, depend on WalMart, for many of their needs, and, a trade war, and tariffs on Chinese goods, will harm their purchase power. Either this will slow sales (potential – recessions), or raise costs (potential – inflation)!

2. Hate Crimes: Whether, because, his rhetoric, and actions, has enabled those with negative attitudes, etc, or, inspired these responses, etc, we have witnessed, a significant increase in the number, and severity of hate crimes! This includes anti – Semitism, anti – Islamic, etc, behaviors and offenses! It has also, created a sense of fear, for those, wishing to express, their Freedom of Speech.

3. Irreparable harm with traditional allies: While, often, appearing to embrace, some of the leaders of traditional foes, such as Russia, North Korea, etc, and accepting, Putin’s word, over our intelligence personnel, President Trump has also confronted our traditional allies, such as Japan, Germany, France, Mexico, Canada, United Kingdom, etc. How might this impact, our relations, with the democratic nations of the world, in the future, when our leader, has embraced the Saudi Prince, about potential criminal behavior, even though, our own experts, seem to have little doubt, about his connection, to the murder of a reporter?

4. Traditional American freedoms: What do we stand for, if we don’t put freedoms of speech, the press, etc, as significant necessities? Unless/ until, we prioritize the principles of our Constitution, when it comes to, freedoms, liberty, and justice, for all, we will lose the right, to stand – up, for human rights, around the world!

5. Polarization: The rhetoric, promises, and often – prejudiced/ biased positions of this President, has polarized Americans, in a way, which we have never before witnessed. America will only achieve the greatness, it deserves, when we emphasize, a meeting – of – the – minds, for the common good!

Wake up, America, this isn’t normal! Either, we protect and restore our freedoms, or our way of life, will be harmed, for many years, to come!

8 Undesirable Ramifications Of Today’s U.S. Policies

While, some may agree with, the policies, and actions, of today’s, American government, and administration, polls indicate, a significant percentage of the public, appear, to find, it, at the very least, concerning, and, in conflict, with much of what, they consider, the American Way! Whether, one supports, and is a core supporter, of President Donald Trump, or not, most agree, his leadership is unlike, anything we have witnessed, in recent memory! With that in mind, this article will attempt to, briefly, consider, examine, review, and discuss, 8 undesirable ramifications, of this behavior, rhetoric, and focus, in terms of its potential impacts, on the best interests, in terms of relevant needs and priorities, and the nation’s sustainability.

1. International: After, the someone, erratic tendencies of this administration, and sudden changes, in policies, etc, why would any other nation, trust us, to keep our word? What does the change, regarding the Kurds, a long – term ally, say, to others, about, whether, they can count on, and depend on us? In the past 3 years, we have witnessed, several instances, of breaking treaties, and pacts, weakening our support (or abandoning it), to traditional allies, and appearing to align ourselves, with leaders of nations, whose politices, appear to be, un – American!

2. International policies: Well – considered, international policy, should be based on a quality focus, and emphasis! Our leaders must focus on the bigger – picture, instead of, merely, any short – term, immediate, personal/ political agenda, and their perceived, self – interest! America is never served, and/ or, represented, effectively, unless/ until, every effort is made, to fully consider, potential ramifications, and the future sustainable needs, of the nation, and world!

3. Ignoring pacts, and agreements: An over – riding, emphasis, of President Trump, from the beginning of his term, has been attempting to change, and/ or, eliminate many of the existing agreements. He has often complained about NATO, and threatened, to abandon it! Similarly, he has encouraged, the United Kingdom, to leave the European Union, and, has tried to change the terms of NAFTA. It often seems, rather than emphasizing, better coordination, with long – term friends and allies, he has sought, to align, closely, with some of the world’s despots!

4. Domestic: Trump’s focus, and emphasis, on, America First, often, at the expense of bring us together, for the common good, appears harmful! Areas under – challenge, and perhaps, siege, include; Women’s Rights; Human Rights; Minority Rights; and the concepts of, All men are created equal, and, freedoms, liberty and justice, for all.

5. Race/ ethnic relations: When our President seeks to divide us, rather than uniting us, in an effort to achieve a meeting – of – the – minds, for the common good, America loses! What has happened, to race, and ethnic relations, in the past, approximately, 3 years? Has Trump, fulfilled his campaign promise, to, Make America Great Again, or, has he created negative fissures, enhanced amounts of hate – crimes, and/ or, excessive, xenophobia?

6. The threat to Institutions: Basic American rights, and concepts, including, Freedom of Speech, Freedom of the Press, Balance of Powers (between Executive, Legislative, and Judiciary), Separation of Church, and State, appear, threatened! If this is permitted/ allowed, how will the America, of the future, become?

7. Court appointments: There seems, to have been, a concerted effort, to pack the Courts. How might this impact, the nature, and future of America?

8. Environment/ Climate Change/ relevant/ sustainable future: One of the obligations, every American administration, and generation, owes to future ones, is protecting the future of the planet! Allowing, environment neglect, such as permitting dumping, negating gas mileage standards, etc, is a dangerous behavior! Similarly, how are we served, when President Trump’s administration, denies the realities of Climate Change, and the need for relevant, sustainable, timely, well – considered, actions?

Wake up, America, and demand, relevant, sustainable, responsive leadership, based on the greater good, and all Americans! Pay attention, and vote, based on needs, priorities, and plans, instead of empty rhetoric, vitriol, and promises!

5 Ramifications Of Enabling Presidential Behaviors?

Whether one supports him, and the policies, he articulates, or opposes them, most would probably agree, President Donald Trump's behavior, rhetoric, attitude, and relationships, with others, is seemingly, dissimilar, to any, witnessed before, from his predecessors (in recent memory). When one occupies the White House, his words, generally, have potential ramifications, into the future, in a relevant, sustainable manner! In addition, we have never before, witnessed, as many instances, of other public officials, either, consciously, or accidentally, enabling these types of behavior. This is true, whether it relates to affecting Constitutional guarantees, international relationships, the need for a timely response to the dangers of Climate Change, protecting our environment, or many others areas! With that in mind, this article will attempt to, briefly, consider, examine, review, and discuss, 5 of these ramifications, and why, it's important to take notice, before it's too late.

1. Limits of Executive Power: When he was running for office, Mr. Trump, famously, proclaimed, he was so popular, he could shoot, and kill someone, on Fifth Avenue, and get away with it! Unfortunately, since becoming President of the United States, he has progressively, seemed to attempt to expand, the powers of the Executive Branch. He has surrounded himself, by individuals, who enable him, and this behavior, by proclaiming, our Chief Executive, has the expanded rights, etc! If, as it appears to many, he goes, unpunished, regardless of the several, revealed instances, of excessive, improper behavior, such as regarding, Ukraine, Russia, China, North Korea, as well as his rhetoric and actions, domestically, in terms of seemingly, trying to ignore protecting all the liberties, justice, and freedoms, for everyone, instead of trying to pick, and choose!

2. Balance of Powers: Our Founding Fathers believed we needed, a Balance of Powers, with co – equal branches of government, from the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial Branches. President Trump has seemed to ignore these, by appointing judges, the Bar Association, deem unqualified, simply because they agree with his personal / political agenda, and / or, self – interest, and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has enabled him, because of his apparent political preferences, etc. By denying documents, and forbidding testimony, from people in his administration, during the Impeachment hearings, etc, he has continued this trend, and the Senators and Congressmen, from his political party, have seemed to choose politics, over policy, and national interest .

3. Emoluments: The Emoluments Clause, was created, to ensure, no President would benefit, financially, from his entanglements, but, again, this President, has maintained control and operation, of many of his businesses, including the hotels, which so many, seem to be staying at, in order to demonstrate their loyalty, to the man!

4. Ethics: Shouldn't we expect, and demand, more, and better, behavior, integrity, and ethics, than we've witnessed, since January 20, 2017?

5. Respect for the Constitution: If we start to, only, care about those parts of the Constitution, which benefit us, personally (or any personal / political position), what type of precedent, does that set? This means, all aspects, and, since, the House of Representatives, holds responsibility, for federal expenditures, etc, when the President changes the allocation (such as transferring monies to his Wall), the future might possess many negative ramifications!

We need to elect public officials, who put the public, and quality policies, based on our heritage and Constitutional guarantees, ahead of any personal / political agenda, and / or, self – interest! If, people, merely enable questionable behavior and action, by prioritizing, either politics, and / or, their fears / greed, there will certainly be future, undesirable ramifications!

5 Dangerous Ramifications From Trump Fatigue

Are you, one of the millions of Americans, who, are tired of all the nonsense, and, apparent, insanity, and, yearn, for a return to the days, when most of us, considered America, great, because it was the voice, for human rights, throughout the world, as well as within this nation? Have you become, fed – up, with being, fed – up, and, feel, at least, somewhat, like the famous words, from the movie, Network , "Mad as hell, and not going to take it anymore!" ? Many of us, seem to be suffering from, an extreme form, of Trump Fatigue, and are sick, and tired, of feeling that way! Don't you believe, America, is, and must be, better than this? With that in time, this article will attempt to, briefly, consider, examine, review, and discuss, what this means and represents, and, why, it's become, such an urgent matter, and issue.

1. The new norm : If this is the new, norm , what does that say about our society, today? Americans must understand, everything we do, and avoid, doing, will have ramifications, into the future, and, will have a dire impact, on the future, not only of America, but, for the whole world / planet! If we, simply, accept this behavior, of rhetoric / vitriol, misstatements / lies, prejudice, and putting personal / political agenda, ahead of the greater – good, aren't we risking, nearly everything, which made America, unique, on this planet? If we permit, any individual, to be, over – the – law, and, do harm to our Constitution, and its guarantees, not only, will we, not be great, but, hardly, recognizable!

2. No one, above the law: President Donald Trump behaves as if, he believes, he is above the law. He has made statements, claiming, he is so popular, he could shoot someone, on Fifth Avenue, and get away with it. He has urged others, to oppose, legally issued, subpoenas, and, has been, constantly, investigated, for potential misdeeds, and illegal acts, with several foreign nations, etc. No previous administration has had, as many people, indicted, as this one!

3. Is the public, tiring, of this type of behavior / rhetoric ?: Trump Fatigue may be defined, as behavior, which, constantly, and consistently, opposes, nearly everything, we have always considered, the norm ! It seems, every day, which ends with a, Y, brings more news, of this sort of, undesirable behavior!

4. How do we know, what is true ?: Fact – checkers, such as Snopes, Political Fact – Check, The Washington Post, etc, proclaim, Mr. Trump, has lied, or made significant misstatements (some, very obvious), at least, 12,000 times, since he assumed office! At this same time, Trump, constantly refers to anything, which, either, opposes his positions, or accuses him, etc, as, either, Fake News, the Corrupt Media, or some other, derogatory, name! We seem to have come, to a place, where, despite all the evidence, to the contrary, this President's core supporters, continue to believe his version, although, nearly everyone else, recognizes, this isn't normal!

5. Wastes / diverts time / attention: Because, so much time and attention, has been spent, on President Trump's apparent lies, distortions, behavior, rhetoric, and abuses, very little of consequence, has been achieved, these past few years! Although, nearly everyone realizes, proactive behavior, is needed, to address the negative ramifications of Climate Change, and environmental inattention, the present occupant of the White House, denies the obstacles / challenges.

Wake up, America, because, what we are witnessing, isn't normal, and is opposed to, many of the foundational issues, of this nation! We need to stand up, and, say, We're not going to do this, anymore !

Politicians Actions Have Ramifications: Protecting Freedoms Proactively

Have you ever wondered why, so many politicians, on either side of the spectrum, appear to proceed, blindly (or with blinders – on), either because of their perspective, political perspective, and / or, self – interest, rather than for the common good, and public interests? Rather it is someone, on the so – called, left, who proposes, pie – in-the – sky, non – affordable ideas / programs, or one on the so – called, left, who merely asks, What's in it for me , only really caring, when they personally benefit, and attempting to selectively, pick – and – choose, which freedoms and liberties, to defend, while ignoring those, which might conflict with their perspective / desire, which often threatens the sustainability, of our nation, and firmly commits, to certain Amendments, while avoiding others! With that in mind, let's briefly, attempt to, examine, consider, and review, some of these circumstances.

1. Which Amendment is more important, the 1st, or 2nd ?: because of some effective marketing, by certain lobbying groups, etc, many have become convinced, it is the absolute right to own a gun. They often point to the section in the 2nd Amendment, which refers to, The right to bear arms, and claim, any sort of gun control, is against their rights. However, historical and Constitutional scholars, have stated, this refers to a state's right, to have a militia, especially, when one considers, that, at that time, there was a clear threat, to what is now called, the East Coast of the US, from attack by foreign powers. It's also important to remember, guns, at that time, were not semi – automatic, or automatic, but single – load, mullet – style, which generally required nearly a minute to reload. Can't we logically, control guns, and who owns them, in a sane way, where guns are registered (like cars, etc), and controlled, and mental illnesses, etc, would restrict who can own a gun. When Hillary Clinton, ran, against Donald Trump, in 2016, he portrayed her, in such a way, where he claimed, she was going to take your guns away. However, isn't interesting, President Trump, and the most ardent 2nd Amendment believer, appear not care, about the freedoms of speech, Press, etc, guaranteed by the 1st?

2. Selectivity: You can't pick – and – choose, which freedoms, and liberties, you'll defend! Unfortunately, many do exactly this!

3. Ramifications: This President has openly, dismissed the need, to protect the environment, fought to remove regulations, and often, pays little attention to his actions, rhetoric, and their ramifications and impacts. When will our elected officials realize, effective representation, must be focused on doing the right thing?

We are living in challenging times, where the potential ramifications, in many areas, threaten the future needs of the nation, and future generations! Wake up, America, and think about the bigger – picture, and demand your leaders represent and serve you, not merely in a populist way, but, rather in a relevant, sustainable, responsible manner!

Few objective would would deny, for better of worse, we have never, in recent memory, observed any President, behave, like our present occupant of that office. Donald Trump has spent his public career, in a way, which consistently brought attention, to himself, either by his actions, or rhetoric. Few would deny, he is a master of self – promotion, and while, that, probably, personally benefited him, it is questionable, whether, it will be in the best interest of this country, or many of its citizens. Mr. Trump's behavior, rhetoric, and actions, have certain impacts, and whether intentional, or not, will probably have significant ramifications. Therefore, this article will briefly examine and review, 6 examples, and some possibilities, and / or probabilities.

1. Environmental / climate change: Trump has often articulated a message, which seems to be, he doubts the reality of climate change, and any potential dangers. During this recent, record, cold – spell, his message, focused on calling it warming, seeming to misunderstand, people impact the future. He appointed Scott Pruitt, as Secretary, of the Department of Environmental Protection, who has spent much of his career, fighting previous environmental, protective measures. Loosening up, waste – dumping, promoting development in, previously protected lands, and encouraging energy exploration, in the waters, closest to our nation, puts the future of our nation, in terms of clean air, and water, in doubt!

2. Judicial appointments: Depending on one's political views and appointments, any President's judicial appointments, significantly, affects the future! We need open – minded judges, who are both properly prepared, and truly qualified.

3. Race / ethnic relations: Trump's rhetoric and vitriol, has expanded the ethnic and racial divide, to a level, we have not witnessed, in more than half a century! When the holder of the highest office in our land, seems to articulate a message, contrary, to the concept, of, All men are created equal , does that promote the American dream, etc?

4. Enabling hate groups: The President's message, calling, any, White Supremacists, and Neo – Nazis, Good people , and equating peaceful protestors, to those espousing messages, of hatred and bigotry, has been adopted by many of his core supporters. Doesn't this send the message, which enables haters, to believe, it's good and proper behavior, and feelings?

5. Middle East: The relationships in the Middle East, date many generations and centuries, and developing any type of meeting – of – the – minds, is, at best, extremely challenging. Many Presidents have attempted to assist the process, and only Jimmy Carter, approximately 40 years ago, had any success. Logically, since, at least 4 different religions, claim Jerusalem, as essential, to their religious beliefs and core, does it seem, somewhat obvious. if you hope to create some opportunity for peaceful resolution, you can't begin, in a confrontational manner? Why would any Muslims trust any efforts, from a man, who has consistently used, the vitriol and rhetoric, he has?

6. North Korea: Issues and conflicts, with North Korea, have gone on, as long as, nearly every living American has been alive! However, how can anyone feel safer, more secure, and closer to a peaceful resolution, when Mr. Trump has seemingly taunted, the rather, volatile, North Korean leader, consistently?

Whether you support or oppose him, it's important to realize and recognize, there are ramifications, to his actions, rhetoric, and behavior! These 6, are some of the examples.

Ramifications Of Trump's Actions: 5 Cases

Whether one is a supporter, or opposes, President Donald J. Trump, everyone must agree, we have never, in recent memory, experienced, anyone, who has conducted himself, as he has! While he maintains the strong support of his core supporters and followers, largely because, they have bought – into his rhetorical, vision, and are motivated, and agree with his rhetoric, and vitriol, many others, feel considerably, uneasy, because of the potential ramifications, of some of his actions, and words. Mr. Trump's closest supporters claim he focuses on broad – strokes, rather than, getting involved in the details, and while, President's should not micro – manage, many believe, his lack of attention, to the details of leading a nation, are potentially dangerous, and frightening. This article will attempt to briefly review, consider, identify, and discuss, 5 cases and / or instances.

1. International relations / respect: Because this President, so often, appears to be changing his message, and relies, so heavily on rhetoric, vitriol, and name – calling, it appears, many are confused by his actions, and intentions! The world has, generally, sought calm, focused, consistent leaders, and Trump, to this point, has not generated that perception, and / or image. Calling leaders by negative labels, and resorting to name – calling, rarely garners the respect of others, or drives a cooperative spirit!

2. Race / ethnic relations: Trump's reliance on ethnic generalities, especially towards Mexicans, Hispanics, and Muslims, has created distrust, suspicion, and a level of negativity, we haven't previously witnessed! While there are certainly many Americas, who, unfortunately, share his biases and prejudice, it is not, what many others, consider the American Way. From his comments regarding his Wall, to the comments about the Mexican judge, to the descriptions, he's reportedly expressed, regarding certain African and Caribbean, poorer nations, we have never experienced this behavior, from someone in his position, in recent memory!

3. Freedoms challenged: Mr. Trump has spoken out, against the media, and press, especially those who've challenged him, in any way. His reference to Fake News, to anything which does not agree, challenges, our concept of freedom, of the press! He has challenged the rights of individuals to articulate any contrary or oppositional message, complaining when others, don't automatically applaud, and / or disagree! Some may be entertained, or, even enjoy his rhetoric, and vitriol, but it does not drive our democracy, forward!

4. Budgets / deficits: Before he was elected, Mr. Trump claimed he could eliminate, both, current deficits, as well as cumulative ones! His support for a tax reform plan, which will add trillions to the deficit, as well as his recently proposed budget, pays no attention to these, while appearing oppositional to safety – net, items, which makes many fearful, and nervous!

5. Environmental / sustainability: While the rest of the world, appears, to realize the needs, and has begun to focus on environmental concerns, President Trump, has often articulated, a message of denial of Climate Change! Appointing Scott Pruitt, as the Secretary of DEP, has clearly indicated, he, either does not feel attention is needed, or does care about protecting the sustainability of our planet, and protecting clean air, and water, as well as neglecting the future needs of generations!

Obviously, I am not a supporter of this President, but, for the common good, would hope, he achieved, for the best interests of the nation, and the planet! However, anyone who fails to consider and address ramifications, is not behaving in a responsible manner, which we need, and deserve!

During this recent, record, cold – spell, his message, focused on calling it warming, seeming to misunderstand, people impact the future. He appointed Scott Pruitt, as Secretary, of the Department of Environmental Protection, who has spent much of his career, fighting previous environmental, protective measures. Loosening up, waste – dumping, promoting development in, previously protected lands, and encouraging energy exploration, in the waters, closest to our nation, puts the future of our nation, in terms of clean air, and water, in doubt!

2. Judicial appointments: Depending on one’s political views and appointments, any President’s judicial appointments, significantly, affects the future! We need open – minded judges, who are both properly prepared, and truly qualified.

3. Race/ ethnic relations: Trump’s rhetoric and vitriol, has expanded the ethnic and racial divide, to a level, we have not witnessed, in more than half a century! When the holder of the highest office in our land, seems to articulate a message, contrary, to the concept, of, All men are created equal, does that promote the American dream, etc?

4. Enabling hate groups: The President’s message, calling, any, White Supremacists, and Neo – Nazis, Good people, and equating peaceful protestors, to those espousing messages, of hatred and bigotry, has been adopted by many of his core supporters. Doesn’t this send the message, which enables haters, to believe, it’s good and proper behavior, and feelings?

5. Middle East: The relationships in the Middle East, date many generations and centuries, and developing any type of meeting – of – the – minds, is, at best, extremely challenging. Many Presidents have attempted to assist the process, and only Jimmy Carter, approximately 40 years ago, had any success. Logically, since, at least 4 different religions, claim Jerusalem, as essential, to their religious beliefs and core, doesn’t it seem, somewhat obvious. if you hope to create some opportunity for peaceful resolution, you can’t begin, in a confrontational manner? Why would any Muslims trust any efforts, from a man, who has consistently used, the vitriol and rhetoric, he has?

Whether you support or oppose him, it’s important to realize and recognize, there are ramifications, to his actions, rhetoric, and behavior! These 6, are some of the examples.

Ramifications Of Trump’s Actions: 5 Cases

Whether one is a supporter, or opposes, President Donald J. Trump, everyone must agree, we have never, in recent memory, experienced, anyone, who has conducted himself, as he has! While he maintains the strong support of his core supporters and followers, largely because, they have bought – into his rhetorical, vision, and are motivated, and agree with his rhetoric, and vitriol, many others, feel considerably, uneasy, because of the potential ramifications, of some of his actions, and words. Mr. Trump’s closest supporters claim he focuses on broad – strokes, rather than, getting involved in the details, and while, President’s should not micro – manage, many believe, his lack of attention, to the details of leading a nation, are potentially dangerous, and frightening. This article will attempt to briefly review, consider, identify, and discuss, 5 cases and/ or instances.

1. International relations/ respect: Because this President, so often, appears to be changing his message, and relies, so heavily on rhetoric, vitriol, and name – calling, it appears, many are confused by his actions, and intentions! The world has, generally, sought calm, focused, consistent leaders, and Trump, to this point, has not generated that perception, and/ or image. Calling leaders by negative labels, and resorting to name – calling, rarely garners the respect of others, or drives a cooperative spirit!

2. Race/ ethnic relations: Trump’s reliance on ethnic generalities, especially towards Mexicans, Hispanics, and Muslims, has created distrust, suspicion, and a level of negativity, we haven’t previously witnessed! While there are certainly many Americas, who, unfortunately, share his biases and prejudice, it is not, what many others, consider the American Way. From his comments regarding his Wall, to the comments about the Mexican judge, to the descriptions, he’s reportedly expressed, regarding certain African and Caribbean, poorer nations, we have never experienced this behavior, from someone in his position, in recent memory!

3. Freedoms challenged: Mr. Trump has spoken out, against the media, and press, especially those who’ve challenged him, in any way. His reference to Fake News, to anything which doesn’t agree, challenges, our concept of freedom, of the press! He has challenged the rights of individuals to articulate any contrary or oppositional message, complaining when others, don’t automatically applaud, and/ or disagree! Some may be entertained, or, even enjoy his rhetoric, and vitriol, but it does not drive our democracy, forward!

4. Budgets/ deficits: Before he was elected, Mr. Trump claimed he could eliminate, both, current deficits, as well as cumulative ones! His support for a tax reform plan, which will add trillions to the deficit, as well as his recently proposed budget, pays no attention to these, while appearing oppositional to safety – net, items, which makes many fearful, and nervous!

5. Environmental/ sustainability: While the rest of the world, appears, to realize the needs, and has begun to focus on environmental concerns, President Trump, has often articulated, a message of denial of Climate Change! Appointing Scott Pruitt, as the Secretary of D.E.P., has clearly indicated, he, either doesn’t feel attention is needed, or doesn’t care about protecting the sustainability of our planet, and protecting clean air, and water, as well as neglecting the future needs of generations!
