Some say, "A sandwich, is a sandwich, is a sandwich." They who say that clearly have not experienced the amazing, mouth-watering, savory meals at New York Fresh Deli located off of Casaloma Drive in Appleton, Wisconsin.

When you first pull up it looks like a larger version of a Jimmy Johns. Located in a brick and mortar strip mall, with large windows facing east and south, and ample parking, New York Fresh Deli is a breath of fresh air in the sandwich world.

Owned and operated by father and son Don Sanderfoot and Carl Sanderfoot, New York Fresh Deli started out as part of the New York New York Deli franchise. A few years ago, they decided to step it up a few notches and dropped the franchise, and the second New York. Wanting to bring in fresh, local produce whenever possible, and having the ability and freedom to cook their own soups in-house was a dream come true to Carl who went to school for culinary arts.

Not only are they a "sandwich shop", they serve coffees-even the foo-foo ones, fruit smoothies, wraps, paninis, and offer a full catering menu for on and off-site events. Chef Carl prepares the food and delivers it. Though, in looking at the large, modern space, New York Fresh Deli would be a great place to host a small gathering. Their hours on the weekends make it perfect to host bridal showers, engagement parties, rehearsal dinners, and more. Just because it isn't on the menu doesn't mean it isn't possible with these exciting entrepreneurs.

Committed to only the best, New York Fresh Deli serves up loaded sandwiches with Boar's Head meat and cheeses, the freshest and most local ingredients possible, and fresh-baked bread daily. Not only is this place great for adults, it is kid-friendly too. No, you won't find a jungle gym here, but the kid menu is just as tasty as the regular menu, and their pickles are to-die-for.
